A New England icon since 1800 (the fifth oldest business in the Boston area), and a member of the "Best of Boston" Hall of Fame, Stoddard's is the oldest and most distinguished cutlery retailer in the U.S. Since the 1920s the Marks family has owned and operated Stoddard's®, and that tradition continues today with David Marks as the third generation President.

Our Retail Store

The character of our store stems from the specialized nature of the cutlery business. Much of what Stoddard's® offers are products from around the world that people often say they "just can't find here in the U.S." They're products that function as they were meant to and require a certain integrity in the way they are made: unique products that are considered best in fit and finish, best in performance, best in quality. The issue is not whether we offer an item for $8 or $800. It should simply be the best in class.
